Questions:
What is the story of BRUXA, how did you come together in this band?
Saint: Derek and Bianca made a song and needed a place to record. I had a little home studio so we started working on songs at my place. I ended up writing some verses for the second track and we have been BRUXA ever since.
What were each of your first experiences like in bands?
Bianca: i was never in a band…
Saint: me either. solo mc before this.
Derek: i was in a band, MonkeyFarmFrankenstein, we were signed to Some Bizzare Records and got fucked over by the infamous Steveo Pearce. Same guy that fucked over Coil and Softcell and Einstürzende Neubauten. So, that was fun (Laughs) No seriously it was awesome, but it just didn’t go anywhere.
Can you tell me about your upcoming LP, what are some of the influencing factors that inspired it? Can you tell me a little bit about recording it as well?
Saint: After the last ep we started playing live shows and that experience affected our music alot, allowing us to develop and refine songs over time with an audience. We started hanging out all the time, staying up all night working on tracks. we devloped a huge amount of material over the course of a year and slowly whittled it down to an electic mix of songs that really represent our wide range of influences: industrial, trip hop, goth, rap, pop, RnB, techno, dubstep, witchhouse, electro,glitch, bass, etc
Can you tell me about some of your current favorite artists?
Grimes, RL Grime, Death Grips, Freddie Gibbs, Zebra Katz, Brenmar, Gang Gang Dance,
Can you give me an example of a song you consider perfect?
Derek: Closer – Nine Inch Nails
Michael: Work – Gangstarr
Bianca: Free Money – Patti Smith
If I were to vacation in your hell what should I expect to find there?
Michael: Making sandwiches for yuppies
Bianca: screaming babies, forced chewing of tin foil
Derek: Chewing Gum. I have a recurring nightmare that im chewing gum and it fills my whole mouth and i try to spit it out and i cant and keep reaching into my mouth and pulling it out but no matter how much i pull out of my mouth it is still full of gum.
Have you had an experience with the supernatural that you’d be willing to share?
Bianca: Does taking too much LSD count?
Michael: I believe in nothing
Derek: My apartment is haunted but i dont believe in ghosts. its annoying

What are some of your favorite films, and a favorite line of dialog from a film?

Can you describe your most emotionally moving moment involving music? Or, the moment of live music that has had the greatest impact on you?
Bianca: “when i went and saw the boredoms. I think they were the best i had ever seen live up to that point, just them as a band together. i never heard them on record before and i just went and saw them and was like damn. also, i cried when i saw bjork.
Michael: You seen that new 2 chains video?
Derek: My junior year of high school i listened to the first Prick album front to back in its entirety in headphones at full blast every night before i went to sleep. it affected me deeply but im not sure how exactly.
Some are saying this is the greatest era to exist as a musician, others say it’s the worst, what has your experience been like?
Bianca: Mediocre
Michael: I think thats a useless exercise, the only option is now.
Derek: Its the greatest time to be a music fan. its never been easier to find dope music.
Have you ever been to a psychic, would you be willing to share that experience if so?
DereK: I have never been to a pschic
Michael: me neither
Bianca: i aint been to no psychic, i am a psychic
Do you feel things happen for a reason, do you have an experience that would be evidence of this?
Bianca: yes i believe that. experiences? uh, like my whole life
Michael: no i dont believe that. shit just happens. at random.
