Virgin Blood comes from the tall darkened forests of the Pacific NW via Portland Oregon. Portland is a couch surfer’s wet dream, take it from me, believe me I know. The lower expectations found here, from my hosts allows me to open up in ways I can’t in cities where people expect for you to work, and demand you to aspire to be something other than just a dude, well guess what, there is nothing wrong with existing as is, I’m in no mood for any big self-improvement projects, and a place where the sunny days are far and few in-between, it almost makes me seem like a sunny dude in comparison. This is the type of environment which can fuel your empty existence and creativity. I like every track from Virginblood so far. I am not complaining one bit. They are living proof of what Portland can do for you, they’re a product of a wonderful environment.
