I make no secret that one of my favorite new artists is OOBE. You may ask, hey SITE, are you playing favorites on this blog? I ABSOFUCKINGLUtelY do, I owe it to you the music troller, cruising the sonic landscape for a different trick every night; that if I love something, to cover it until I’ve hammered it through your thick seal-of-approval-seeking skull, so that you have the opportunity to pay attention to the best shit going down as of this very moment. If you haven’t checked his stuff out already, and you think I’m blowing smoke up your ass, which I have never done, I have two tracks that I will fucking throw down to prove my fucking sincerity “LOVE IS A CRUEL ANGEL” and MOTHERFUCKING “SILK DRAMA.” You’re only hurting yourself with your lack of trust, do we need to establish a safeword before you get into my musical-fuck-swing? Music like this is why I started this blog, I wanted you to hear something that means something, and make a small difference in a world where positive and kinds acts are usually met with someone pissing on your face. He’s made a gOd-DAMN amazing mix of SEXY_ASS DARK JAMZ, this is the fuck soundtrack of the FALL RIGHT HERE, THERE ARE MOMENTS ON HERE you’re going to curse both of us for not giving you the track list, it’s so fucking good though, I will OfFiciALLy SAY YOU NEED THIS SHIT, A NECESSARY FREE DOWNLOAD. HIS DEBUT DELPHI is just as fucking awesome and necessary, I wanted to find out a little more about his influences and what the fuck is going on over in Italy these days for him to produce music like this. CHECK OUT HIS TRACKs and GET THIS FUCKING HUGE-AS-FUCK-MIX

DELPHI is very hard to pin down, as well as one of the most interesting records stylistically I’ve heard this year, what are some of the influences, what inspires your sound? Can you tell me a little bit about recording/writing it as well?
DELPHI is a collection of unique works, maybe this is difficult to define because it contains many different sounds. I am inspired by a lot of music I listen to and feel at that particular moment. I love to try samples and acapella versions to choose from old archives that I find on the Internet. Then compose the whole thing as a tailor, combining different styles and genres. I love the sounds of the Middle East and the witch house, 90’s dance and vocal trance. I love the raw product, do not ever come back on a piece when I start and finish.
Can you tell me about some of your current favorite Italian artists, or artists elsewhere?
In Italy I listen to Verdena, and the master Franco Battiato. Artists I love are Mater Suspiria Vision, all Phantasma Disques with whom I worked on the project of Cronenberg’s Videodrome and the last contest about Dario Argento’s “Suspiria”, the Summer of Haze, Black Ceiling, Bathaus, the Mz 412 and Asap Rocky. I’m finding recently Death in June, the Hare and the Moon and the label Haute Magie who helped me out with the DELPHI cassette.
Can you give me an example of a song or piece of art you consider perfect?
The perfect song is Foreign Affair by Mike Oldfield, and the all album of Kanye West “808’s & Heatrbreak”.
If I were to vacation in your hell what should I expect to find there?
In my hell would find fear, fascination with evil, drugs, continuous search for God, apocryphal texts and ancient books, women and sex.
Have you had an experience with the supernatural that you’d be willing to share?
Sometimes I feel the presence of something bigger than me. But I fear to investigate and not ever, I feel a lot of respect for the supernatural. I do not play with that stuff.
If you could collaborate with any artist living or dead who would it be?
Perhaps with Mike Oldfield and Alan Parsons Project. Even a piece with Vangelis I would not mind.
What are some of your favorite films?
My favorite films are “Leon” by Luc Besson, The Shining, A Clockwork Orange, Scarface and the Exorcist.
Can you describe your most emotionally moving moment involving music? Or, the moment of live music that has had the greatest impact on you?
A Verdena concert I’ve seen in a community center, and when I spin as a DJ at Crispy, a techno party held here in Padua, Italy.
Some are saying this is the greatest era to exist as a musician, others say it’s the worst, what has your experience been like?
It’s a great time, thanks to the Internet and the software you can hear and make music without limits.
Have you ever been to a psychic, would you be willing to share that experience if so?
I do not think I’m a psychic, but I attract a lot of people to me.
Do you feel things happen for a reason, do you have an experience that would be evidence of this?
What God wants to happen, happen. What God does not want does not happen.
If you were to take a break from making music, what would you like to do most?
I love the visual arts, I love to make collages with old fashion magazines and then framed gift to friends.
